Our Commitment

Door and Dock Solutions Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 is the current W3C Recommendation (October 2023) and is the standard referenced by the ADA and Section 508. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Measures We Have Taken

Door and Dock Solutions Inc. has taken the following steps to improve accessibility on this website:

  • Added a skip-navigation link so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation menus.
  • Used proper semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) on all pages.
  • Ensured all text meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text).
  • Added visible keyboard focus indicators for all interactive elements.
  • Provided descriptive alt text for all meaningful images.
  • Added a pause/play button on the homepage slideshow (WCAG 2.2.2 — Pause, Stop, Hide).
  • Included captions on the embedded overview video (WCAG 1.2.2).
  • Respected the user's prefers-reduced-motion setting to minimize animations.
  • All navigation links include proper aria-current indicators for the active page.
  • All social media icon links carry descriptive aria-label text.
  • Added scroll-padding-top to prevent the sticky navigation bar from obscuring keyboard-focused elements (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.4.11 — Focus Not Obscured).
  • All interactive elements meet the 24×24 CSS pixel minimum target size, including footer social icons and carousel indicators (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8 — Target Size Minimum).
  • Contact information (phone and email) appears consistently in the footer across all pages (WCAG 2.2 SC 3.2.6 — Consistent Help).

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of this website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA:

  • Video captions: The overview video on the homepage includes placeholder caption text. A complete, verbatim transcript of the audio is in progress.
  • Third-party content: Some embedded maps and third-party widgets may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working with vendors to address these issues.
  • PDF documents: Any linked PDF documents may not be fully accessible. If you need an accessible version of a document, please contact us.
